The Mind Behind the Standard
G. D. Turner Sr., professionally known as Chef G, is an award-winning Certified Executive Chef with over 16 years of executive catering experience and more than a decade of culinary consulting expertise.

Born and raised in Chicago’s Englewood neighborhood, Chef G discovered his passion for cuisine at an early age at his mother’s kitchen table. What began as curiosity evolved into discipline, and that discipline became a career built on excellence.

By the age of 14, he was already working in professional kitchens, steadily advancing from prep cook to executive leadership through commitment, precision, and relentless refinement.
